Wow. When we serve sin, it will use us as its slaves, suck us dry and throw us out like scum and filth.
Only the children of God have that blessed assurance that they are sons of God who will never be kicked out.
Who are the sons of God?
“… as many as received him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His Name”
(John 1:14)
I believe in You, Jesus.
satan is so wicked. Sin is not worth it. It is that poison coated with sugar; “The exceeding sinfulness of sin.”
Who can set free from sin? Only the Son. Only Jesus. No human being, a fellow slave, can set anyone free from sin. All we can do is point people to the One who can set free.
I remember that night I sat on my room floor weeping bitterly from the paralysing pain of a heartbreak and felt so helpless. My mother came into my room and just stared at me with pain in her eyes and said to me, “my daughter I feel your pain. My heart cries for you.” There was nothing she could do to get me out of that situation but I remember she prayed and encouraged me in the Lord.
If there was anything that she could have done as my mother to get me out of that pain she saw me in, she would have done it immediately. If it was a physical pain, maybe she could have given me a massage but what do you for the pain of a heart? What can flesh really do for flesh?
We can only shod our feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace – a readiness to share the Good News of the Gospel with all (Ephesians 6:15).
“How beautiful upon the mountains Are the feet of him who brings good news, Who proclaims peace, Who brings glad tidings of good things, Who proclaims salvation, Who says to Zion, “Your God reigns!”
(Isaiah 52:7)
Only and ONLY the Son of God, Jesus Christ, the Messiah, The Anointed, Righteous One can set free.
Oh set me free, Jesus. Set me free. Help me abide in Your Word. This is life. Pure life.
Fellow Christian, we cannot say we love another and withhold our lips from sharing the Gospel. They may not say it but “each heart knows its own bitterness” (Proverbs 14:10).
Offer freedom to a broken heart through Christ today!
