CHRISTIAN LIVING

HOW WOULD GOD BE GLORIFIED IN THIS?

by

If we said all things, did all things and thought all things with this question stamped in the depths, corners and front of our hearts, that peace, purpose, meaning and fulfilment we seek would be long satisfied.

“Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.”

1 Corinthians 10:31

“And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.” Colossians 3:17

Just everything. Everything.

Wouldn’t life be much joyful? Wouldn’t each sun’s rising be more welcome? Wouldn’t each rejection, pain, denial, insult, hardship, stagnation, loss and lack be more bearable if this were the entire rhythm of our lives?

Lord, may Your Spirit quicken and remind this heart, Lord. To please You, to glorify You, to know You and make You and only You known. Let this be this heart’s desire.

When these legs go forth into this world of wolves and when this flesh desires to react as a wolf, may this heart remember that this soul has been saved and is being sent out as a sheep amongst wolves.

May this heart never be ashamed or unsure of the joy and love You have so generously shed in this heart but to unashamedly delight in it and carry on the assurance that You have made an everlasting covenant with Your Son, Jesus Christ the Righteous.

I love You, Lord. Let this life be a walking glory of Your Name.

So shall it be, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
